ENT-trained sleep surgeon
She completed her training in New Zealand in general ENT conditions. She then underwent an intensive fellowship in Paediatric and Adult Sleep Surgery in Australia and the US, working under one of the world leaders in the discipline, and is now one of relatively few fellowship-trained Sleep Surgeons around the world.
She is regularly an invited speaker to international conferences, is active in the Australasian Sleep Association and International Sleep Surgery Society, and works within a multi-national, multi-disciplinary research group. She holds a public hospital appointment where her practice is general ENT and sleep.
Outside of clinical work, after being appointed to the Medical Council by the Minister of Health in 2020, Dr Love was elected to the position of Chair in 2024. She also sits on the Aotearoa National Committee and the Māori Health Advisory Group for the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons, is a Trustee for the Hearing Research Foundation and is an Advisor to the ENT Training Board within the New Zealand Society of Otolaryngology, Head and Neck Surgery.
